Debate 2008

Current music: SGX - Tell Me A Story
Current manga: Vampire Knight
Current anime: same
Current game: o2 Mania (Vilton got me hooked on it T_T thank you very much *stares*)
Current status: Normal
Current mood: Hard to describe...like all mashed up in a blender...

The Carnival English Parliamentary Style Debate 2008 Division Level (what an awfully long name for an occasion <_<) has ended...
The English Language Society committees and members involved have showed tremendous cooperation, which I appreciate very much. Elliot finally had the chance to prove himself useful, as he likes to say xD
And even through something like this, I was able to get to know my friends/schoolmates better. For example:
Charles - yes, he's a very nice guy xD He is open-minded and speaks like a wise man. And also I found out that he's hand is almost twice the size of mine *looks at my small hands silently*

Dexter - I'm quite close with the other speakers like Celes and Kelly, but not quite with
Dexter. However, I got to know him better and get a few good laughs from his attitude during the competitions xP Like Charles, he's a nice guy too.

Liew Zi Heng - Another funny one xD Very helpful too ^^ (He says that many told him he looks like Tung, but I can't see any similarities lah...) I mean, yealah they're both equally nice, but in terms of physical appearance they barely even look similar...*cough* except for their size *cough* xD

Vilton - I do know Vilton very well already (since we've known each other since Primary School) but ever since Form 1, we haven't been in the same class and don't spend as much time as before. But during the duties and competitions, we've kinda made up for that :)
By the way,

*fireworks*
HAPPY 16TH BIRTHDAY, VILTON! 25TH APRIL!!!

Don't worry, I will give you the Worms game ^^
And because of him, I'm starting to play o2 jam/mania/whatever you like to call it.
For now I'm still in the "liking" stage...hopefully I won't get "obsessed" with it...

Anyways, although it is a bit saddening that Sung Siew lost in the debate...I do believe our speakers are winners in their own way - at least that's how I perceive it.
St. Cecilia didn't really do well (if you ask me) in the semifinals and finals, but they did put up a good competition against Sung Siew, and I respect all teams for their efforts.

The chief judge's comments today were really...good.
What can I say? They all hit the mark on its right place.
I do believe that the winner of the finals only won my a mere one-digit difference <-- which is not something to be proud of, but instead feel lucky about.
And I absolutely agree to the fact that debate should be exposed to Form One (and even Remove Class) students. Once they have sufficient and good exposure to it, they can have a go in the competitions once they reach Form 3 or 4. To be frank, I like the way the chief judge presented her comments - like a real commenter. Direct, precise and charismatic ^^

Finally, all that have finished...now once I finish updating the school website, I (hopefully) should have time to concentrate on the coming examinations... school examinations AND music examination T_T. So please-lah...don't kacau me with stuff now, ok? I want to be stress-free (which is very impossible not only for me, but for just about everyone)

I don't want to type too long (even though I already have)
I guess I'll proceed to the final thing...
TAG <_<. My suspicions proved true...there IS a third one <_<
Fine...since you guys like tagging so much and I'm "it" then I'll cooperate...

Instructions : Remove 1 question from below, and add in your personal question. Make it a total of 20 question, then tag 8 people in your list, list them out in the end of the post and notify them in their chat box. Whoever does the tag will receive blessings from all.

QQ ice...

2. What was the last movie you've watched?

3. (this is the question I changed) What are your phobias? (Both serious or mild)
Mild acrophobia (fear of heights), depending on the situation, very mild monophobia (fear of being alone) and I really HATE + afraid of insects/spiders/wild animals/you name it.

4. What are you most happy with now?
Nothing...I am NOT happy...! Happy is the last thing on my mind, I can tell you that.

Yes.

7. What are you afraid to lose the most right now?
My important ones and myself. (which involves many things like memory, life...etc)

8. Why are you wasting your time to do this?
Because a certain persistent English teacher tagged me while I checked my cbox hoping there was something else T_T

9. If you meet someone that you love, would you confess to him/her?
I don't have one... but assuming (and imagining) that I do, I don't think I would.

10. List out 3 good points of the person who tagged you.
*looks at English teacher* *looks away* ...okay...
She is intelligent (a teacher should be), strong-willed, and (almost) always gets what she wants...

11. What are the requirements that you wish from your other half?
Aiya...many conditions-lah...the list could go miles xD

12. Which type of person do you hate the most?
Wah...quite a lot...but to make long things short, buggers. (and I mean ALL definitions you could get from a dictionary)

13. What is your ambition?
Travel around the world.

14. If you have fault, would you rather the people around you point out to you or would you rather they keep quiet?
Depends on the situation.

15. What do you think is the most important thing in your life?
Yealor...like Ms. Lat, I say life.

16. Are you a shopaholic or not?
No. O_o

17. Find a word to describe the person who tagged you.
Already in no. 10, but I'll add in another. (before that I shall hide behind large tree just in case) Short.

18. What will you do when someone faints in front of you?
Stares balnkly coz I'm taking time to reach my internal processor to perceive what just happened.

19. Regular(right) or Goofy(left)?
.......what.....?

20. Who are you tagging?
Lazy-lah...all sudah taken...oh wait...I still have Jason :) (the inactive guy...but what to do...better than nobody to tag)

Eh...cukup-lah...I wann go play o2 Mania now...
Later~

Grace...

Current music: DJ Taka - Reincarnation
Current manga: Doubt
Current anime: Vampire Knight
Current game: Stepmania
Current condition: Normal
Current mood: Melancholic

12th April - the second day of Prefects' Camp.
I sat silently at the attic of the Junior Block - the highest floor.
Holding a bunch of envelopes in my right hand...but they were not just normal envelopes.
Printed neatly on the face of each envelope were the words "Amazing Race" in twelve brilliant colours. I stare at them, observing the colours of each set while remembering the rules Felicia had told me.

On my other hand, the left, I was holding two plastic hoops - one blue and one yellow. I purposefully chose the two colours out of a few others from the office was because they matched the colour of my T-shirt - blue with yellow collar (though it was a mere coincidence that there were blue and yellow hoops found at the office). Around my waist was a small pouch, convenient to put my important belongings such as the "stickers" for the Amazing Race, a small pen and some paper just in case, and my mobile phone to contact the other committees or to kill boredom with music.

I arranged the tables in the attic so that they are neatly aligned along the doors and pathways, just to add a touch of creativity. I sat on a chair, waiting for the teams to come...reminiscing the events that happened several hours ago at the Army Camp. The feeling of playing the "Flying Fox" for the first time, crossing the river (but ultimately falling in to it) marching and walking through quite a distance...all were unforgettable.

As time past, several group came to my station and I explained the rules. Regardless of gender, they were to hold hands and think out a strategy to pass the hoop around the circle. I watched quietly as they gave support and laughed it off when they failed for the first few times. Once they had succeeded, I asked them to give their yells, gave them a sticker and their next clue (the envelope) and wished them luck.

Once the groups have left, I was back to sitting quietly...I glanced at my watch. 5:40 p.m.. Great...how long does it take for one team to get to my station? They're making me wait here like a fool. Stephanie is probably busy with her "flour" station four floors below mine. I can hear tables moving and soft voices...that must be Tung's station, also a few floors below. I waited and waited but at the same time thought...out of all the teams, I liked Wesley and Audrey's group very much. I was very impressed with their teamwork. Ivan and Crystal's group comes in as my second favourite.

As my watch struck six, there still was nobody...just me alone in the attic. The security guard eventually came and went away after a minute or so. I closed my eyes for a moment, trying to get some rest from the event of that day as well as to prepare for a sleepless night as there will be lots to do... I felt slightly disoriented. I had not taken a shower since the first day, while the others had. I took only 1 1/2 hours of sleep, unlike the others who took 4 to 5. I had to sit and wait alone in the attic while the others are able to run around with their teammates, share happy moments, build ties and work together. I had to watch them have fun. I sighed to myself...oh well...I have to be responsible...

Soon, I heard the sound of a bell - a church bell. The continuous chime of it rings in my ears and flows deep into my soul. The sound was quite deep, but it had an effect on me. Almost immediately, I got up and went to the source of the sound without leaving the attic. From the high ground I looked outside and saw what could be described as a breathtaking scene.

There was a man ringing the church bells continuously. Up the stairs, believers walked up slowly. Some were walking into the church, while others were walking out. A flight of stairs separating believers from the man ringing the bell, right outside the church, and they were walking towards it. Somehow, it felt symbolic to me. I noticed the beauty of the scene, the holy aura emitted by the sound of the bell - all in the magnificent glowing sunset. The sky was dyed in a flourescent-like orange hue with some pink mixed in here and there.

I kept staring with awe at the beauty of such a simple scenario. Simple, yet it captures the heart.

Soon, the man stopped ringing and tied the rope. The people had all went in so the man follows. I may have looked like a dumbfounded fool looking out with astonishment. Yet, the scene made me think and reminiscence, up to this very day.

I was awoken from my mild trance by the sound of footsteps. Finally, another team on the way to my station. I took one final glance at the holy place and went back to my station.

It's time to go on, I thought to myself. Back to work.

"Okay, welcome to my hoop station! Now, let me explain the rules..."

Show me the teamwork that I want to see. Good luck.

A painful decision

Current mood: *stunned*

She suddenly popped in the question...out of nowhere...
"Do you want a laptop?"

For the first few seconds I was so surprised and happy at the same time...
How many years have I yearned for one???
How many times have I gone through so much inconvenience when I couldn't bring my PC out of my house???
Of course, I would definitely say yes...!

But, there was a catch. (Nothing goes without a catch <_<)

I will get the cheapest possible laptop, and no new laptop for next year if I get it this year.
*nyiau* If it's like that, then wouldn't it be better to use one with more functions than continuing to use a cheaper one for years?!

With an evidence sigh and a frown on my face, I declined...
How painful...

60th Post...

Current music: DJ Sharpnel - Follow You
Current anime: Waiting for Vampire Knight...7th April...!
Current condition: Drained
Current mood: ..................

Behold, my first post as a 16-year-old!
And my 60th post at the same time!

Too bad this post isn't going to be that funny or cheerful <_<>".
I'm not going to lie here. This is what I experience. For those who know me but didn't know, well now you do O_o... It could be me exaggerating it a bit, or me being a tad too sensitive, but make no mistake, it is definitely there. I won't go into detail...just saying that it exists...

To those who feel the same way or experience the same situation, be patient... at some point you do have to let others know of it too (but not complaining).

Enough! End of gloomy nonsense. It's gonna be hard to find time to blog now that exams are drawing near. Oh well...what to do...

Before I end this post,
I wish these people Happy Birthday in advance!

Syaneezah (my childhood friend since Kindergarten, though we very rarely meet each other now)
Today! 6th April! Sorry that my post on your birthday had to be a gloomy one...

Cason (he treats me like garbage, but whatever...a friend is still a friend)
17th April (A fellow Arian...hot-headed and hyperactive)

Caleb (Crystal's little bro)
24th April (See, Caleb? I remembered as promised!)

Vilton (the guy who can draw well and copycat drawings xD and also class monitor of 4D)
25th April (Do your best, Vilton! Ignore their baseless comments about you! You're great!)

Jason (A funny, good-and-bad at the same time and smart fellow)
28th April (Mr. Taurus, they say Taurans and Arians make a great team in work O_o... I'm an Arian!)

Ok-lah...that's it for now...
Later~
